This morning I fished with Rex Murphy and his wife Meegan offshore. The fog was real thick but we pushed offshore through it. The grouper and snapper were chewin as good as they could before this front. We were targeting snappers and porgies using live and pieces of shrimp but the gag grouper were so active they were getting the bait first. We landed a total of 7 keeper grouper but all being released but plenty of snapper came home to the dinner table. Thanks and see ya again.

I fished two different groups today and fishing was productive on both trips. The morning we caught plenty of snappers and one legal gag grouper to 26″. The afternoon I fished with Jim Starr and his family and had great action catching tons of grunts, snappers and gag and red groupers. Thanks gang and hope to see ya again.

I have been real busy lately having purchased my first home and trying to fish. So haven’t posted much reports so I will catch up on a few. The backwater fishing has been great with plenty of ladyfish, trout, whiting and the occasional black drum and redfish. I fished a group of guys Sunday morning and caught 7 keeper trout, a 23″ redfish and a 25″ black drum. Pretty good morning inshore and great job guys.
The afternoon I fished Ross and his father offshore and the gulf was flat calm and the fish were chewing. We fished some spots and had plenty of snapper action also catching two legal size groupers that went back due to a closure until April 1st but there is plenty of snapper to bring to the dinner table. Thanks guys and hope to see ya again.

Today I fished two half day trips with two groups of anglers. The morning bite was good catching gag grouper, mangrove, lane snappers, grunts and porgies. also landed a legal gag that was quickly returned due to a two month closure on all grouper.Even with grouper closed there has been plenty of snappers to take home to the dinner table. The afternoon went similer to the morning with same action on light tackle. Thanks for fishing with us and hope to see you again.

Weather has not been on our side lately. We have fished here and there offshore and inshore between cold fronts. The fishing offshore has been constant action catching a mix bag of mangrove snapper, porgies, triggerfish, sheephead, grunts and catch and release on both red and gag groupers.
Inshore fishing has been productive when the gulf has been to ruff to venture out into. Most of the catch’s have been lots of ladyfish, trout, whiting, sheephead and pompano. Along with plenty of dolphins, osprey’s and the occasional manatee sightings. Here’s a couple pics of recent trips.
